At Canton Academy Lower School, the STEM program—encompassing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math—provides a strong foundation for students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and apply knowledge in meaningful ways, all within the framework of a Biblical worldview.
Beginning in preschool, students are introduced to the safe and purposeful use of technology. In the elementary grades, students build essential skills such as keyboarding, explore the basics of coding, and engage in hands-on learning experiences designed to foster curiosity and innovation.
Instruction emphasizes responsible and effective use of technology as a tool to enhance learning, ensuring students are prepared for an increasingly digital world. Our dedicated STEM lab, equipped with iMacs, iPads, and a wide range of manipulatives, creates an interactive environment where students can investigate, design, and experiment while remaining grounded in the truth of God’s Word.
