We are prepped and ready for a great new school year. Our teachers have been participating in professional development this week, and it has been good to have our staff back on campus. We are looking forward to greeting our students on Monday.
Congratulations to our Lady Panther softball team on their season opener wins this week against Indianola Academy. The girls will play their next game at home against Benton Academy on Monday, August 5 at 5:00 (varsity) and 6:30 (JV). Make a point to come cheer on the Lady Panthers.
Please be sure to read the Student Handbook at the following link: 2024 – 2025 CA Student Handbook before beginning school on Monday . All students and parents will sign a statement next week stating that they have read the handbook. Students and parents will have the option to sign via digital copy through email or a physical paper copy.
You have a few days to complete your summer reading, so be sure to wrap that up this weekend. Find summer reading assignments at the following link: https://cantonacademy.org/academics/
All students in K3 through 5th grades are invited to meet their teachers on Monday, August 5 anytime (come-and-go) from 8:00-11:00 am. Parents are also welcome to drop off school supplies at that time if you purchased them on your own. Please remember to be respectful of other students and their parents as everyone will want to meet the teacher and see their new classroom. If other families are waiting, please save personal concerns and child-specific information and include those in a personal email to the teacher.
All students in grades 6-12 will have a half day of school on Monday. Students will be given their schedules upon arrival and Chromebooks will be issued. Student Council representatives will be showing new students around the building and helping them find their classrooms and other areas they have questions about. This is the first day of school for our students, so please remember that this time is for students only.
We are extremely excited to welcome our students back to campus and to see all of our new members of the Panther family. It’s going to be a great year!
