As we wrap up a great semester and begin our Christmas break, let’s all take time to slow down and remember the reason we celebrate and the symbolism of the gifts we give and receive: “God sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.” Romans 8:3
Congratulations to our 2024 Football Futures and All-Stars who were selected and participated in the MAIS Futures and All-Stars games on December 5th and 6th: Future, (junior) JD Kelly; All-Stars, (seniors) Sawyer Bates, Landon Hillhouse, Ayden Hughes, Cruz Johnson, William Pace, Zach Smith, and Coach Jonathan Bates. We are very proud of these guys!
Please remember that we will be holding our annual Christmas Basketball Tournament on December the 27th and 28th. Come out and support our student athletes as a part of your Christmas break.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our Fall Sports Banquet which will be held at a new time and place this year in an attempt to respect requests regarding time and expense. This year’s banquet will take place on the first day back at school after the break (Monday, January 6) at 8:15 a.m. in the gym. Parents are welcome to attend, but this event will be livestreamed for those who cannot.
We hope that you take advantage of the break to spend time with loved ones and appreciate your gifts that are not just the ones under the tree. We are each very grateful for our CA family and all you do to make Canton Academy a school home we are proud of.
