Welcome back! We hope everyone enjoyed a restful Christmas break and had time to recharge. We have had a great start to our spring semester and are gearing up for this busy and exciting time at Canton Academy. We still have a long way to go before the end of flu season, so please remember to encourage your children to wash their hands, clean backpacks, phones, and other items used daily, and refrain from sharing drinks and food.
As basketball season comes to a close, our spring sports are gearing up. Baseball, track, golf, and tennis have begun practice, with competition seasons starting soon. We encourage everyone to come out and support our student-athletes as they represent CA.
Congratulations to Madden Bates and Parker Brady for being selected to the All-MAIS Football Team. This is a tremendous accomplishment, and we are proud of their hard work and dedication.
Our chess team competed in the MAIS Chess Tournament on January 8 with a strong showing. Dylan Gilmore tied for 3rd place in the 4th–6th grade classification, and Kash Toten tied for 3rd place in the 1st–3rd grade classification. Congratulations to our chess team on a great performance.

- JV Basketball Tournament: January 24 at Discovery Christian
- District Basketball Tournament (Hosted by Canton Academy): January 27, 29, and 31
- North State Basketball Tournament (Hosted by Canton Academy): February 2–7
- State Basketball Tournament: February 9–14 at Delta Academy
Please note that Canton Academy will be participating in Spiritual Emphasis Week from February 2–7, hosted by several area pastors and faith leaders. During that week, we will follow a chapel schedule each day.
