It is hard to believe that the first month of the year is behind us and February has begun. Our Reflections Yearbook staff hosted the annual Who’s Who/Beauty & Beau pageant on January 20th, and it was a huge success. Congratulations to Cooper Lampkin and Anna Claire Mabry on being named 2024’s Mr. and Miss Canton Academy. We also want to congratulate all of our students who were nominated and chosen by their peers for the various Who’s Who categories. We especially appreciate all the hard work of Mrs. Catherine Bennett, Mrs. Savannah Lloyd and the student members of the yearbook staff.
Basketball season is coming to a close, and we have had a great time watching our Panthers work hard and have fun. Our varsity girls’ season has come to an end, but we are proud of the hard finish. The varsity boys finished the regular season as the #1 seed and will start district tournament play this Thursday. Track has gotten off to a great start with some out of town indoor meets. We will host our CA Ice Breaker meet on Wednesday, February 28. Come out to cheer on your Panthers. Don’t forget to purchase your Boston butt from the baseball team. Their season opener is Thursday, February 8 at Manchester.
Spring is just around the corner, and we have a lot of events coming up. As you know, we are excited about our upcoming school accreditation visit on February 13th and 14th. I would like to thank everyone who has put time and effort into this process. Don’t forget to save the date for our annual Soirée and Drawdown at Butterfly Hill on Saturday, April 20.
Enrollment for our current CA families is now open. Please complete your children’s enrollment as soon as possible since open enrollment will begin on February 14th. We already have some classes at capacity and others are filling up quickly. Enrollment completion is imperative so that we can ensure we have necessary space and staff needed for the upcoming school year.
