We hope that everyone has enjoyed the first couple of weeks of summer. As always, we use summer to complete any needed structural campus projects. Because of your generosity and funds raised through our annual Drawdown in April, we are able to proceed with these much needed upgrades. We are also very thankful to have the ability to continue to purchase new curriculum and needed materials every summer.
We have had all back doors of both buildings retrofitted with 3M security-filmed windows. This will bring more natural light into the rear of the building while also allowing staff and students to be able to see out of the doors before opening them.
A new sound system has been installed in the softball pressbox.The new softball score board has power and is ready for the 2024 softball season beginning soon. The softball and baseball field lighting will be reworked with extra fixtures. The football field is having new Musco lighting installed.
We are refreshing the outside of all campus buildings with new paint. The floors in all buildings are being waxed, and there are many classrooms also getting fresh paint.
Please keep these times and dates in mind as you plan your summer:
- Summer office hours are Monday through Thursday, 9-12 (with the exception of holidays)
- Summer athletic workouts begin on Monday, June 3 (please refer to your coach for specifics)
- Saturday, July 20 – campus work day
- Sunday, July 21 – CA Summer Meet & Greet, 5pm at Country Club of Canton
- Monday, July 29 – First Lady Panthers soccer game (home vs. Magnolia Heights)
- Tuesday, July 30 – First Lady Panthers softball game (away vs. Indianola)
- Wednesday, July 31 – Teacher in-service/orientation begins
- Saturday, August 3 – sports media photo day and Meet the Panthers
- Monday, August 5 – K3-5th grades Come & Go/Meet the Teacher AND 6th-12th grades first half day of school
