It is hard to believe we are on the home stretch to wrapping up the 2023-2024 school year. We have had a great year with a lot of events still to come to complete our last few weeks of school.
Our annual Spring Fling and Drawdown was a great success because of you and many other patrons connected to our school community. You are to be thanked for all of your hard work, ticket sales and purchases, donations, and volunteering. This yearly event provides our school with continued classroom and campus improvement needs. We are grateful to each of you for playing a part in the betterment of Canton Academy, which directly affects our students.
Congratulations to the CA baseball team on a great season. Our golf team also wrapped up their season by finishing second place in the state golf tournament at Mossy Oak last week. Our girls track team is South State Champion! The state track field events are this Friday on our campus with state running events held at Jackson Prep on Saturday.
Good luck to junior, Amelia Rose Cook, as she competes in today’s state tennis championship as number one girls’ singles.
We are looking forward to this year’s commencement ceremony for the Class of 2024. Their graduation will be at 7:00 pm in the CA gym on May 10, and all are invited to attend. Senior gift bags are set up in the high school office for gift drop off.
High School awards day will take place on the morning of May 10, and elementary awards day will be on Monday, May 13. High school exams are scheduled for May 14-16.
