The second term of the semester is going well following a well-deserved fall break. We hope you and your family enjoyed some down time during our first ever five-day break during October. We have had a busy fall with much more to come in the next six weeks leading up to exams. Please help us remind students to stay the course as we quickly enter the end of 2024.
It’s hard to believe August is behind us, and we are already settled into the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking forward to cooler temperatures ahead and all the things that come with fall at CA. This week is homecoming week with lots of activities leading up to the big day on Friday.
We are prepped and ready for a great new school year. Our teachers have been participating in professional development this week, and it has been good to have our staff back on campus. We are looking forward to greeting our students on Monday.
It is hard to believe that we are halfway through 2024, and we are only about a month away from the start of the 2024-2025 school year. While you have hopefully been enjoying the summer break and a slower pace, we have been busy on campus with standard summer projects but also some much needed upgrades and sprucing
I hope that everyone has enjoyed the first couple of weeks of summer. As always, we use summer to complete any needed structural campus projects. Because of your generosity and funds raised through our annual Drawdown in April, we are able to proceed with these much needed upgrades. We are also very thankful to have the ability to continue to purchase new curriculum and needed materials every summer.
It is hard to believe we are on the home stretch to wrapping up the 2023-2024 school year. We have had a great year with a lot of events still to come to complete our last few weeks of school.
Happy Easter! I hope you have enjoyed some quality time with your family and have taken some time to reflect on Jesus and what He did for all of us. Let’s remember to be grateful not only this time of year, but every day. At CA, we are blessed as administration and staff to be able to discuss Jesus’s ultimate sacrifice, and we do not take lightly that we will be held responsible one day for the way that we lead your children.
As we wrap up our third 9-weeks term, I want to remind students to study hard and finish assignments with excellence before we dismiss for spring break on Thursday, March 7.
It is hard to believe that the first month of the year is behind us and February has begun. Our Reflections Yearbook staff hosted the annual Who’s Who/Beauty & Beau pageant on January 20th, and it was a huge success. Congratulations to Cooper Lampkin and Anna Claire Mabry on being named 2024’s Mr. and Miss Canton Academy. We also want to congratulate all of our students who were nominated and chosen by their peers for the various Who’s Who categories. We especially appreciate all the hard work of Mrs. Catherine Bennett, Mrs. Savannah Lloyd and the student members of the yearbook staff.
